Freakazoid! is an American animated series. It is the third collaboration between Steven Spielberg and Warner Bros Animation. The follows Freakazoid, a crazy superhero. While initially supposed to be a straight forward superhero program, it ended up being a comedic based program, similar to Animaniacs in terms of humor that included slapstick, breaking fourth wall and parody.
The show was one of the first programs to debut on Kids' WB!. It ran for two seasons between 1995 to 1997 and had a total of 24 episodes. The series received 3 Daytime Emmy nominations during its run, winning 2 (Outstanding Original Song in 1996 and Outstanding Special Class Animated Program in 1997 plus another Song nomination in 1998). IGN would later list the show at number 53 on its list of Top 100 Animated Series.
